May I ask what you mean by, 'recent trend'? I had not heard of this character before.. and Kaided described the character to me as serpent-like with feline influences. All of the references provided were a bit more on the feline side, so to mix things up I went with something more serpent-like. :3 And it was hella fun! ^__^
